A1 - Downpressor: All We Know With his debut release on Ritmic a few months ago he has set the marks high. This second vinyl outing for Downpressor sees him in a more relaxed and dubby mood. Already getting support from SOTO and Future Funk Squad (who have just finished the remix of this very tune!!), Phantom Beats and more..

A2 - Be&See: Orcise Wayz Hot on the heels of his Remix of “The Meal” he turns the funk knob to eleven and has a laugh while everybody is getting darker and nastier! Punchy beats are joined by a quirky bass and a funky lead synth before he brings in the bells! The Cowbells…..! Different and working very well on the floor too.

B1 - Vostok: Airplanes (Smash FX Remix) This track is the debut Vinyl outing for Smash FX and what a corker it is ! German “Erkrankung Durch Musique Records” released the original version by Vostok and this unreleased breakbeat remix has been specially made for this EP. The track will have house and breaks heads scream for more!

B2 - Tek Jam & Inzekt: Tenor3 Tek Jam and Inzekt, two long time techno producers and DJs from Switzerland unleash a stunning Lo Fi-Electro track with vocals from Ursula Rucker. Ursula Rucker has just released her Debut Album on K7 and has worked with people like 4Hero, King Britt or The Roots. We were allowed to use the vocals and the result is a very individual hybrid of breaks and electro. Does Tek Jam & Inzekt ring a bell? Well their track “Premiere” was licensed to the first Bedrock Breaks comp mixed by Hyper last year…

QuoteThis long anticipated 12” from the kings of Swiss breakbeats definitely does not disappoint. It’s contains a track each from Downpressor, Be and See, Vostok, and Tek Jam with Inzekt. The real standout (as usual) is the Be and See, they’re on a real tear lately between this one and the upcoming remix of Ion by rEalm. Their melodic, but still distinctly European sound is always a crowd pleaser. The Downpressor track is awesome too, dubby tech-breaks perfect for layering, or as a stand alone. Definitely a solid 12. QuoteHuge respect to the Swiss guys. Ritmic invariably bring on some of the best breaks outside of these shores, sticking to their guns and releasing homegrown talent, and what;s more giving the punters four tracks for their money. Downpressor's 'All We Know' is the pick of the pops by a long shot with farty bass and dub skanks carried along by chugging, bouncy beats. Other contributors include promoter and DJ Smash FX (remixing Vostok's 'Airplanes'), Be & See and Tek Jam and Inzekt's 'Tenor 3'. One label whose packages I always look forward to opening, keep up the excellent work! (Hyper)

QuoteThis Swiss label celebrates its fifth release of breakbeat finery with a four-tracker that is a veritable ‘tour de force’ of styles. From the raga-infused riddims of Downpressor’s “All We Know”, through Vostok’s bleepy tribalistic “Airplanes” to Tek Jam & Inzekt’s “Tenor3” (a lo-fi electro style ting), it’s all tied together with fat breakbeats. And damn fine ones at that. The Swiss have more to offer than cheese and multi-purpose knives… (Phantom Beats)
